The
World Morgan Futurity will be shown each year at the Grand National
& World Championship Morgan Horse Show®. All horses shown must
be currently nominated in the World Morgan Futurity. The World
Morgan Futurity will show in four divisions: Yearlings, Two Year
Olds, Three Year Olds and Alumni Four Year Olds.
All horses showing at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show must be entered on the Futurity Show entry form (blue form) and have their Futurity show fees of $150 per class entered paid by August 1. Only those horses that have made these entries with the Futurity Secretary will be allowed to show in the Futurity classes at the Grand national. Futurity horses must also be entered on the Grand National show entry blank. A Grand National entry fee of $75 per horse, per class must be paid to the Grand National for all Futurity horses competing. A $20 Grand National entry fee will be charged to Alumni horses, per class entered. Thus, one entry form is sent to the Futurity secretary and one form is sent to the Grand National secretary for each owner.
Prize Money will be sent to the owner of record on file with the Grand National Show Secretary.
- Weanlings
together with their Sire and Dam must be nominated and all fees
paid on or before December 1st of the nominee's weanling year.
- The fee for
nominating a weanling is $50.
- The fee for
nominating a weanling's dam is $50, for EACH nominated foal (i.e.,
embryo transfers).
- The fee for
nominating the weanling's sire is $200. Once nominated, the stallion
may be recorded as sire of any number of Futurity weanlings during
the current year at no additional fee. It is the responsibility
of the stallion owner to nominate his stallion. If he does not,
it may be done by one or more other persons (nomination fee may
be shared) wishing to nominate his get.
- To pre-pay all weanling, dam and eligibility fees, the one-time fee would be $250 plus a $25 office fee. If Alumni fees are included in this one-time fee, the additional payment would be $250. These amounts do not include sire nomination fees. The horse would then be eligible for the life of the Futurity and only Show Entry fees would be required to be paid if the horse is to be shown at the Grand National. This reflects a savings of $75-$100 in office fees.
-
-
The
Yearlings must have been nominated as a Weanling in
this Futurity with all fees paid.
-
An
eligibility fee of $50 must be paid on or before April 1st of
the nominee's yearling year.
- NOTE: A Yearling
can be nominated even though not nominated as a Weanling, by paying
the Weanling nomination fee of $50 on or before December 31st
of the nominee's yearling year, together with a penalty of $250.
The Dam of the Yearling must also be nominated for a fee of $50
and the Sire of the Yearling must be nominated for a fee of $200
in the event the Sire was not nominated when the nominee was a
Weanling. Eligibility fees, and applicable late fees will be assessed.
LATE WEANLING, ELIGIBILITY AND SHOW FEES WILL BE ACCEPTED, BUT
A PENALTY FEE WILL BE ASSESSED.
